How to make an aesthetic collage

  1. Open your photos. Five to nine works best. Each one lands as a whole print with rounded corners on a sea-glass ground.
  2. Shuffle until it feels right. Every shuffle deals a new pile; undo goes back to the last one.
  3. Change the mood. Night in the Style step's families for a dark ground and fine lines; Blush for pink and soft shadows; Lagoon for teal.
  4. Place the stickers. Three sit in the corners already. Drag them, resize them, or add more from the Text step — sparkles, stars, clouds, hearts and more.

What makes it aesthetic here

An aesthetic collage is mostly restraint: a soft ground, photos that are allowed to be whole, a slight disorder, and very little decoration. This page starts there. The Soft family gives rounded tiles and a sea-glass ground; Stack mode drops each photo as a whole print, tilted a little, overlapping its neighbours; and three small stickers sit in the corners rather than on anyone's face.

The story shape is the default because that is where these collages usually go. Tall post and square are in the Layout step, and the pile is dealt again for the new shape.

Stickers that look the same everywhere

Emoji are drawn differently on every phone, so a sticker made from one is a different sticker on someone else's screen. The stickers here are small vector drawings — eighteen of them, from sparkles and clouds to a diya and a balloon — filled with a colour from the palette and edged with a white rim, so they look the same on the stage, in the file and on every device.

Grid mode is one tap away if you want the same look with the photos cut into a layout instead.

Questions people ask about this one

What size is it?

It opens at 1080 × 1920, the story shape. Square and tall post are in the Layout step.

Can I make it dark?

Yes. The Night family gives a dark ground with fine lines round each photo.

Are the stickers images from somewhere?

No. They are drawn by this page as vector shapes; nothing is fetched.

Can I crop the photos into a grid instead?

Yes. Switch Mode to Grid in the Layout step; the look stays.

Can I add words?

Yes. The Text step adds a title and a caption in a band, in a rounded, clean, serif or Devanagari face; for an aesthetic look keep it short and small.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. The photos, the stickers and the finished picture all stay on your device.
