How to make a wedding photo collage

  1. Choose three or five photos. An odd count gives one photo the lead slot — the couple — with the others beside it. It opens on one on top, two under.
  2. Try the sets. Gallery three, Festive six with gold borders, Lagoon mosaic, and Twelve on mist for a bigger album page.
  3. Write the names and date. Type over Just married and the caption in the Text step. Hindi writes शुभ विवाह in a Devanagari face.
  4. Pick a print size. For a thank-you card, 5 × 7 in. The Save step lists how sharply each photo will print and warns below 150 pixels per inch.

Quiet on purpose

Wedding photographs are already formal, so the template stays out of their way. A wide white gallery mount, a serif title and a single small ring above the layout, not on it. The caption under the title is the place for a date or the names of the two families.

The Festive set swaps the mount for a gold border on a warm wash — closer to the colours of an Indian wedding — and the Twelve on mist set fits an album page of twelve photos with one lead.

From the screen to a card

Pick 5 × 7 in and the collage is made at 1500 × 2100 pixels, 300 to the inch, with the density written into the file so a print shop or a word processor reads it as five by seven. PDF wraps that file in one page of exactly that size, without re-compressing it. A dashed trim line on the stage marks 3 mm in from the edge, the margin print labs need.

A wedding photo from a good camera prints sharply in almost any slot. A photo forwarded from a messaging app is often 1600 pixels or less, and may print soft in a big lead slot — the Save step will say so.

Questions people ask about this one

What size should a wedding collage be for printing?

5 × 7 in is the usual card size; A4 for a frame. Both are in the size list at 300 pixels per inch.

Can I make a marriage photo collage with Hindi text?

Yes. The Text step switches the title to शुभ विवाह and the typeface to Devanagari; you can type any Hindi text.

Will forwarded photos print well?

Not always. The Save step lists the pixels per inch each slot will print at and warns below 150.

Can I make several pages?

Yes. Several collages in the Save step splits the photos into a numbered set, saved as a ZIP or one multi-page PDF.

Are the photos uploaded?

No. They stay on your device.
